Heroes is War Child’s latest benefit album. And no, it’s not just another lame collection of cover songs, hobbled together. Heroes is a collection of songs recorded exclusively for War Child. Musical legends like Bowie, The Ramones, Dylan, The Boss, and The Clash all handpicked one of the hottest new acts to record a track from their back catalogue; these new artists include Franz Ferdinand, TV On The Radio, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Beck. The Heroes Box Set

We decided to honour our legends with a throw back to the 7” single. The Heroes Box Set is extremely limited – there are only 50 in Canada. You can’t buy this anywhere. Each box holds 15x heavyweight 7" singles packaged in a presentation box - the A-side of each 7" includes the original Legend's version of the song and the B-side the new cover recording by current artist. Yeah, that’s right. Vinyl has always been cool.

John Squire signed Heroes Print

The Stone Roses’ John Squire was amongst the most accomplished British rock guitarists of the 1980s, known for his chiming melodies, spiraling riffs and live solos. Besides music, Squire is also a well-known published artist. It was his artwork that adorned the iconic Stone Roses record sleeves as well as the War Child albums, Help and Help: A Day In The Life. And now he’s contributed his talents to Heroes. Squire is the mastermind behind the Heroes “guns” and we have one of only 30 prints, signed by the man himself.
